Libbie Hall - Worship Director
Although Libbie looks as though something smells in this picture, she thinks things in her life are really quite rosy.  She is married to Brian and they have three great children - Branden, Amelia and Wyatt.  She loves being the Worship Director here at Southpoint and having the privilege of working with all of the incredible people in this ministry - so Woo Hoo!
Blake

Kim
Paula
Paula started singing when she was 3 years old in the children's choir at her old church.  Through the years, she sang many solos and continued to sing in the church choirs.  She grew up on Grosse Ile
and was involved in the high school musical groups and drama.  She received a scholarship for singing to help her out with college expenses.  Through the college years, Paula was hired to sing for weddings, funerals, anniversaries, and other functions such as these.  Paula is a teacher for Woodhaven Schools and is currently on leave of absence to care for her children.

Paula started singing with the Praise Team in the fall of 1997.  She took some time off when she had two boys, Micah (2004) and Joshua (2006), with her husband, Dave.  Paula and Dave have been married since 1999.  She recently rejoined the Praise Team and is really excited to be singing for the Lord again!

Heather
Heather is a teacher who recently spent time in Scotland.  She also recently sold her house and moo-ved, and is simply MAD about it!!

Elaine
At 5 years old, Elaine starting singing in the children's choir at First Presbyterian Church in Wyandotte, Michigan.  By age 9, Elaine starting singing solos and at that time accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.  Through the years, Elaine sang in many venues such as school choirs, high school drama club, city/community theatre, radio stations, family weddings as well as directing and  ministering through music for other churches/ministries before singing for Southpoint Praise Team in 2006.

Elaine also serves as a small group leader in Southpoint's Jr High Ministry and has one daughter Emily.

Jean
A "short" bio from a "short" lady .... Married to Terry for almost 2/3 of her life, together they have 2 grown daughters, 2 son-in-laws, 6 grandchildren, 1 granddog and 1 dog!  Jean has been with the SC3 Praise Team since 2004 and loves the ministry.  She also loves Libbie's coffee, but leaves the cake and donuts to the younger guys and gals.

Pina
Pina felt 'at home' the moment she walked into Southpoint, way back in April 2006.  She joined the choir two months later and became a member of the Praise Team in May, 2007.  She is completely amazed by how God has transformed her life and given her the awesome and undeserved blessing of song.  She currently is an apprentice worship leader, which she considers a tremendous privilege.

Pina and her husband Bill were married in July 2006 and they are looking forward to starting a family very soon.

Val
I have played lead/rhythm guitar in many bands in and around Detroit since 1986.  After marrying Ken in 1994 and being blessed with two amazing daughters (Jessica in 1995 and Sarah in 1998), I never even thought about playing in a band again.  I visited Southpoint here and there for at least 3 years and after finding God in 2006, I joined the church, auditioned for & joined the Praise Team, and was introduced to a whole new world of awesome music.  I love this band and this church, and I am so thankful to praise God in this way.

Chad
Dan
I have been playing guitar since 1970. As a musician, I have travelled professionally in show bands, played in wedding bands, duets, and performed as a solo Christian artist. It is truly an honor to worship Christ with a guitar; especially with such a talented and annointed group of musicians and singers -- and drummers! (sorry, Greg...I couldn't resist).  Therese and I have been married for 28 years, and we have been blessed with three daughters. We have been attending Southpoint since 2006.

I had drumsticks in my hands since I was 2 years old.
I haven't done anything with my drums except for high school and my friends band.  For years my drumset sat in our toolroom of our basement untouched.  I was a very angry person throughout many years with the trials and tribulations that constantly had been happening in my life.   I never really realized how much Satan can grab a hold of one person; and how important it is to have Jesus in your life.  Jesus doesn't promise us that as Christians that we will always have everything go great for us at all times.  If hadn't been for Jesus and the great staff at Southpoint that we have especially Pastor Brett, Joe Koprowski, Bob & Rene Jeannot & Libbie Hall, band members; and the many others, I would probably be that same unchanged person that I was in 2007 and the previous years.  Jesus, our church, and our church family is so important to me and my wife.  It helps no matter what you go through.  It is so important to find out what your talents are; and to try and be in a ministry.  I am very happy to be part of the Praise Team Band.  I love my Southpoint family. Playing drums has helped me to feel like I can finally give something back to Jesus for everything he has done for me. Jesus saved me and my wife. The old me is dead and gone. Jesus is helping me use my talents & purpose to help bring people to Christ.
Greg
Greg has been with the Southpoint Band since August 2005 during the great drummer drought of 2005.  While drummers are not actually "musicians" and can be replaced by a monkey with 2 sticks and a coconut, Southpoint felt that the human drummer would be better received by the congregation.  However, just in case, a monkey cage was installed around the drumset in early 2006 should the monkey be needed.  While Greg is not a big fan of monkeys or drum machines, he loves playing for the Lord every chance he  gets. "I don't have a lot of gifts, but I am glad that I can serve with such a talented group of Christians." Greg has been married to his wife Stacy since May 2006. Greg has also been know for his late night White Castle trips. Also beware of the Saltine Ministry!

Jon
By 5th grade I was in a band playing with borrowed drums.  My father bought me a set with the conditions that I would play them in church.  This was before CCM was even thought of.  In 6th grade we took our music to VBS by playing rock songs with the words changed.

In Jr. High I saw a rock musician perform who had turned his life completely over to Jesus.  It was a turning point in my life to hear a moving spiritual message with driving music.

I have played professionally and in many different worship and evangelistic teams for years, including Kensington.  I work for Marathon Oil as an Instrument Advisor, and am on their Emergency Response Team for fire, rope rescue & EMT.  My other hobbies are rock climbing, mountain biking and kayaking.  I have a spiritually encouraging wife and 2 sons, 24 & 21.  I have enjoyed playing at Southpoint since February 2008.  What a great opportunity to play good music for a great God and an audience who wants to praise Him!
